Here’s what TaylorMade says about the Burner…
“TaylorMade Burner Driver : Three elements in the TaylorMade Burner Driver combine to help you send those tee shots long and straight down the middle. First, next-generation Dual Crown technology lowers the CG ( center of gravity ) location, creating high launch and low spin. Then, TaylorMade s Inverted cone technology delivers a super-stable, high MOI ( moment of inertia ) clubhead design for increased forgiveness on off-center hits, sending them longer and straighter. Finally, a SuperFast shaft enables explosive swing speed for even more blazing distance.”
I’m digging this club. I bought it at the beginning of the the 2009 season and it’s starting to grow on me. I hit it very straight and the distance is getting longer as my swing improves. I’ll keep you posted as I use it more… Rick
TaylorMade RAC OS irons
The RAC OS irons are the irons that I play. I like them a lot. They are just as forgiving as my old Ping clones, but they definitely go farther. They probably have lower lofts and I know they are little longer in length than my old clubs, which probably accounts for the distance increase. They do have a great solid feel and the alignment aids seem rock solid. I suppose I should find something negative to say to give this more credibility but I can’t think of anything. I like the clubs. I give them an A-.
Power Play System Q hybrid
This is my newest club. It is a clone of a TaylorMade rescue and has weight port technology. I changed the weights to the heaviest I could get (10g). I hit it very low and it runs a mile. Super club in the wind.
Odyssey Tri-Ball SRT Putter
This is my new putter. It replaced the Ping Anser I’ve been using for 20 years. Why? Wish I knew. But it works great and I feel really good about my alignment. Unfortunately I was the only one who liked it because Odyssey has discontinued it. Click on the image of the putter to get a great deal and save over $50 off what I paid.
